LD Red Cigarettes

LD (short for Liggett Ducat) is an international brand of cigarettes originally introduced in Russia in 1999 by Liggett Ducat, a joint venture involving the American company Liggett Group.

In 2000, the Gallaher Group acquired Liggett Ducat, and subsequently, Japan Tobacco International (JTI), a division of Japan Tobacco Inc., acquired Gallaher Group in 2007. As a result, LD became part of JTI's global portfolio of value-tier cigarette brands.

While this particular pack displays Malaysian health warnings ('AMARAN', 'Produk Merokok Penyebab Kanser Paru-Paru') and was manufactured for the Southeast Asian market, the brand LD is globally distributed by Japan Tobacco International and manufactured across multiple JTI production facilities worldwide, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
