Dansukker Cane Sugar (Rörsocker Strö / Demerara)

Dansukker is a prominent Nordic brand offering a wide array of sugar and sweetening products across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland, as well as specialty international groceries in the UK.

The origins of the Dansukker brand trace back to the Danish sugar producer De Danske Sukkerfabrikker (founded in 1872) and the later Nordic sugar alliance Danisco Sugar. In 2009, Danisco Sugar was acquired by the major German sugar corporation Nordzucker AG.

While beet sugar from Dansukker is typically processed and packed in Denmark and Sweden, cane sugar varieties like Demerara and Fairtrade cane sugar are cultivated in tropical regions (such as Malawi or Mauritius) and refined and packaged within European facilities across Denmark, Sweden, and Germany.
