Brand Origin and History

Lizi's Granola was founded in the early 2000s in the United Kingdom by Dr. Lizi Shaw and her husband, Mick Shaw. Dr. Shaw, who held a PhD in organic chemistry, began developing specially formulated toasted granolas designed to deliver sustained energy with a low glycemic load. Starting as a homemade offering at their bed and breakfast in Wales, the cereal quickly grew into a widely recognized breakfast brand across the UK and international markets.

Manufacturing and Sourcing

Lizi's cereals are primarily produced and packaged in the United Kingdom. Using whole grain oats, nuts, seeds, and dietary fibers formulated to support gut health and low sugar intake, the brand packages its granolas locally before distributing them across Europe and to specialty importers worldwide, including gourmet and British food grocers in the United States.

Ownership and Corporate Structure

In 2018, Lizi's Granola was acquired by The Jordans & Ryvita Company, an operating subsidiary of the British multinational food processing and retailing company Associated British Foods plc (ABF). Today, Associated British Foods remains the ultimate parent company of the brand.
