Simple was founded in the United Kingdom in 1960 by the Albion Soap Company. Created specifically to cater to delicate and sensitive skin, the brand initially gained popularity with its flagship perfume-free and colour-free cleansing soap bar before expanding into a complete line of facial and body skincare.

Corporate Ownership

Over the decades, Simple transitioned through various corporate custodians, including Smith & Nephew and the Alberto-Culver Company. In 2010, the British multinational consumer goods giant Unilever acquired Alberto-Culver, bringing Simple into Unilever's extensive beauty and personal care portfolio.

Manufacturing and Global Reach

While Simple retains its strong British heritage and headquarter operations under Unilever UK, its products are manufactured across multiple Unilever production facilities worldwide, predominantly across Europe (including Poland and the UK) as well as other global contract manufacturing hubs.
