SlimFast is an internationally recognized brand of meal replacement shakes, bars, and dietary products designed for weight management and balanced nutrition. The brand was originally created in 1977 in the United States by S. Daniel Abraham as part of the Thompson Medical Company.

Over the decades, SlimFast experienced notable changes in ownership, being acquired by Unilever in 2000, then by private equity firm Kainos Capital in 2014. In 2018, the global nutrition group Glanbia plc acquired SlimFast, bringing it into its Glanbia Performance Nutrition portfolio.

Today, SlimFast products distributed across the United Kingdom and Europe are marketed and managed via Glanbia's subsidiaries, with manufacturing taking place across various certified production facilities in Europe and the United Kingdom.
