Noxzema Protective Shave Lenitiva Classic Shaving Foam

Noxzema was originally developed in 1914 by Dr. George Bunting in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, primarily known for its eucalyptus-infused skin cleanser.

Over the decades, ownership of the Noxzema brand diverged internationally. In Europe—particularly in Italy and surrounding Mediterranean markets—the Noxzema shaving and personal care product lines belong to Conter S.r.l., a subsidiary of the Italian personal care and cosmetics conglomerate Sodalis Group. The product shown here features Italian labeling ('Schiuma da Barba Lenitiva Classic') and is manufactured in Italy by Conter / Sodalis Group.

In North America, the Noxzema facial cleanser brand is owned separately by Unilever, having been acquired earlier through acquisitions including Procter & Gamble and Alberto-Culver.
