Puleva (an acronym for Pura Leche de Vaca) was founded in 1954 in Granada, Spain, initially emerging as an initiative to bring safe, pasteurised dairy to the region and later pioneering fortified milks and dairy beverages.

This specific 1.5-litre bottle of UHT chocolate milkshake (Batido de chocolate) is manufactured in Spain, bearing the Spanish health oval ES 15.2/GR CE (located in Granada, Andalusia). The local subsidiary and operations are managed by Lactalis Puleva, S.L.U.

Puleva is owned by Groupe Lactalis, a French multinational dairy conglomerate founded in 1933 and headquartered in Laval, France. Lactalis acquired Puleva from Ebro Foods in 2010.
