SlimFast Meal Replacement Shake

SlimFast is a well-known brand of meal replacement shakes, snack bars, and nutritional weight management products widely consumed in the United Kingdom and across international markets.

The brand was originally formulated in 1977 by S. Daniel Abraham in the United States under Thompson Medical Company. SlimFast gained immense popularity through its straightforward dietary plans and ready-to-drink shakes, later being sold to consumer goods multinational Unilever in 2000. In 2014, Unilever sold a controlling interest to private equity firm Kainos Capital.

In November 2018, Irish nutrition powerhouse Glanbia plc acquired SlimFast, integrating it into its Glanbia Performance Nutrition division. Today, Glanbia plc, headquartered in Kilkenny, Ireland, oversees the international presence of SlimFast, with European and UK product variants produced in multiple contract manufacturing and company facilities across the UK and the European Union.
