Over the decades, ownership of the Dritz brand transitioned through major craft and textile conglomerates. For an extensive period, it was part of Prym Consumer USA (under William Prym). In late 2020, Prym Consumer USA—encompassing popular brands such as Dritz, Omnigrid, and Collins—was acquired by CSS Industries, which itself was purchased by IG Design Group plc, a major global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of celebrations, craft, and creative products headquartered in the United Kingdom.
