Zwack Pálinka

Pálinka is a traditional protected designation of origin (PDO/PGI) fruit spirit originating in Hungary and parts of Austria. While pálinka itself is a generic category of traditional fruit brandy produced by numerous regional distilleries (such as Márkházi, Árpád, or Békési), the brand and commercial line most prominently exported and marketed across Italy and international European retailers is produced by Zwack Unicum Nyrt. (famed internationally for Unicum herbal liqueur and traditional Hungarian spirits).

Authentic pálinka must be distilled exclusively from 100% locally harvested fruits grown in Hungary (such as plums, apricots, or pears), without added sugar, artificial flavorings, or colorings. Zwack distills and bottles its pálinka varieties in Hungary, maintaining the traditional production methods strictly protected under European Union regulations.
