Finish Quantum Ultimate+ is a high-performance automatic dishwashing detergent known for its multi-chamber capsule design featuring the signature Powerball. Originally developed in the United States in 1953 by Economics Laboratory (which later became Ecolab), the Finish brand was created specifically to cater to the growing market of home automatic dishwashers.

In 1987, Ecolab's consumer products business, including the Finish brand, was acquired by J.A. Benckiser (which later merged with Reckitt & Colman to form Reckitt Benckiser, now known simply as Reckitt plc). Today, Reckitt is a British multinational consumer health, hygiene, and nutrition company headquartered in Slough, England.
