Pepero is an iconic brand of chocolate-dipped cookie sticks created in South Korea by Lotte Confectionery (now operating as Lotte Wellfood) in 1983. Over the decades, it has grown into a cultural phenomenon in East Asia and across international markets, even inspiring South Korea's annual 'Pepero Day' on November 11th.

The brand is owned by Lotte Corporation, a major South Korean multinational conglomerate founded in Japan and expanded deeply in South Korea. In Canada, Pepero snacks are widely available in Asian supermarket chains (such as T&T Supermarket and H Mart) as well as mainstream grocers, imported and distributed directly via local specialty food distribution networks from South Korean manufacturing facilities.

While Pepero shares conceptual similarities with Glico's Pocky from Japan, Pepero specifically designates the South Korean brand produced under Lotte Wellfood.
