Hennessy XO (Extra Old) is a world-renowned cognac originating from the Cognac region of France. It was first created in 1870 by Maurice Hennessy for his inner circle of friends and family, introducing a new style of cognac that was robust and aged longer than the standards of the time. The production process remains strictly tied to its French heritage, utilizing Ugni Blanc grapes grown in the designated AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) regions, which are then double-distilled in copper pot stills and aged in French oak barrels.
