Belkin is a prominent American brand recognized globally for its extensive range of consumer electronics, specializing in connectivity devices, mobile accessories, and networking products. Founded in 1983 in Hawthorne, California, by Chet Pipkin, the brand initially gained fame for producing computer cables and peripherals. Over the decades, it expanded into wireless routers, charging solutions, and smart home technology under the WeMo sub-brand.

In 2018, Belkin International was acquired by Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT), a subsidiary of the Taiwanese manufacturing giant Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. (commonly known as Foxconn). This acquisition shifted the brand's ultimate ownership to Taiwan while maintaining its operational headquarters in California. Today, Belkin products are designed in the United States and manufactured across a global network of facilities, primarily in China, Vietnam, and other Southeast Asian regions to leverage Foxconn's massive supply chain capabilities.
