Åbro Bryggeri is Sweden's oldest family-owned brewery, established in 1856 in Vimmerby. For over 160 years, it has remained a central figure in Swedish brewing history, known for its commitment to traditional brewing methods while utilizing modern technology. The brewery produces a wide range of beverages, including the classic Åbro Original, export lagers, and ciders like Rekorderlig.

The company is uniquely independent in a market often dominated by global conglomerates. It is currently managed by the fourth generation of the Dunge family. All production is centralized at their state-of-the-art facility in Vimmerby, which utilizes water from its own spring, ensuring a consistent and localized production process that supports the regional economy.
