Honeywell Home is a brand legacy that stems from the original Honeywell International Inc., an American conglomerate that pioneered early heating controls and aerospace technology. The brand is deeply rooted in American industrial history, specifically dating back to the late 19th century with the invention of the 'damper flapper' thermostat.

In 2018, Honeywell International spun off its Homes and ADI Global Distribution business into a separate, publicly-traded company called Resideo Technologies, Inc. Under a long-term licensing agreement, Resideo uses the 'Honeywell Home' brand for its vast portfolio of residential products. While the brand carries the historic Honeywell name, the engineering and commercial management now reside under Resideo. Manufacturing is global, with major facilities located in the United Kingdom, Mexico, China, and the United States to serve international markets.
