Scholl foot care and footwear

Scholl is a world-renowned brand specializing in foot care products and orthopedic footwear. Originally founded by Dr. William Mathias Scholl in Chicago in 1906, the brand has been a leader in podiatric health for over a century. Over time, the brand’s ownership was split geographically, with the foot care and footwear business units often operating under different corporate umbrellas.

In recent years, the ownership has consolidated under significant global investment groups. As of 2021, Yellow Wood Partners acquired the Scholl brand (excluding certain regional footwear rights and Dr. Scholl's North American business) from Reckitt Benckiser. Today, Yellow Wood Partners oversees the brand as part of its Scholl's Wellness Company. Manufacturing is decentralized, taking place in various locations across Europe, Southeast Asia, and China to serve global markets.
