The Fujitsu ESPRIMO series represents a professional line of desktop personal computers. Originally developed under the joint venture Fujitsu Siemens Computers, the brand has deep European roots, particularly in Germany where its main manufacturing and engineering hub, the Augsburg factory, was historically located (though operations have transitioned in recent years).
Fujitsu Limited, a Japanese multinational information and communication technology equipment and services corporation, is the original creator. As of 2018, Lenovo Group acquired a majority stake (51%) in Fujitsu Client Computing Limited (FCCL), which designs and manufactures these PCs. Consequently, while the brand remains Fujitsu, the ultimate ownership is a joint venture dominated by Lenovo based in China, with Fujitsu and the Development Bank of Japan holding minority shares. Manufacturing continues to occur in Germany for European markets and Japan for others.
