Garoto Batom Morango chocolate bar

Batom is one of the most iconic chocolate brands in Brazil, originally created by Chocolates Garoto. The brand is famous for its cylindrical shape, which resembles a lipstick (hence the name 'Batom'). Garoto was founded in 1929 by German immigrant Heinrich Meyerfreund in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo, Brazil.

In 2002, the multinational giant Nestlé acquired Garoto. After a long legal process regarding market competition, the acquisition was fully consolidated. Batom remains a flagship product within the Garoto portfolio, primarily manufactured at the historic factory in Vila Velha, Brazil, and distributed throughout South America. As part of Nestlé, it benefits from one of the world's largest food and beverage supply chains.
