Luxor is a historic brand name with deep roots in the Swedish electronics market. Originally founded in Motala, Sweden, in 1923, the Luxor Radio Factory became a pioneer in Nordic radio and television manufacturing. Over the decades, the brand became a household name across Scandinavia, known for its innovation in audio and visual equipment during the mid-20th century.

Following various corporate restructurings and the decline of domestic electronics manufacturing in Sweden, the Luxor brand name was eventually acquired by others. Today, the brand is owned by the Turkish electronics giant Vestel, which is one of the largest original equipment manufacturers (OEM) for televisions in Europe. While the heritage of the name is Swedish, the design, engineering, and manufacturing of modern Luxor television sets primarily take place in Turkey at Vestel City, one of the largest industrial complexes in the world. The products are distributed in the Nordic region through retailers like NetOnNet, maintaining their historical market presence through a modern global supply chain.
