Starting in 2021, Unilever began divesting parts of its beauty and personal care portfolio. In late 2023, it was confirmed that the Timotei brand was part of the acquisition by Elida Beauty, which was subsequently sold to the private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners. Today, Timotei is managed under the Elida Beauty umbrella.
