Göteborgs Kex Brago Original

Göteborgs Kex Brago is an iconic Swedish shortcrust biscuit known for its mild vanilla flavor. Originally launched in 1953, Brago was a product of Örebro Kexfabrik, which was later fully integrated into Göteborgs Kex. For over a century, the brand's production was synonymous with the town of Kungälv in Sweden.

In December 2022, the brand's owner, Orkla, officially closed the historic Kungälv factory and shifted all production to a newly built, modern facility in Riga, Latvia. While the brand retains its Swedish identity and product development still occurs in Sweden, the physical manufacturing is now based in Latvia. The brand is currently managed by Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige, a subsidiary of the Norwegian conglomerate Orkla ASA.
