VioVet is a leading online pet and veterinary supplies retailer based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 2006 by Luke Cousins, the son of a veterinary surgeon and nurse, the company initially started as an experiment to help a local family practice sell pet medication and feeds online following changes to UK laws regarding the sale of prescription medications.

Since its inception, VioVet has expanded significantly to become one of the UK’s largest online providers of pet medications, prescription diets, health supplements, and general pet accessories. While the company sources a vast majority of its veterinary pharmaceuticals and professional-grade products from regulated UK-based wholesalers, its broader catalog of food, toys, and own-brand supplements is sourced and manufactured through a global network of specialized manufacturers.

In 2015, VioVet was acquired by Pethealth Inc., a Canadian company that was a subsidiary of the global conglomerate Fairfax Financial Holdings. More recently, VioVet became a part of the Pinnacle Pet Group (PPG), a pan-European pet insurance and health services platform headquartered in the UK. This ownership structure allows VioVet to leverage extensive resources in the animal health sector while maintaining its operational base in Bedford, England.
