Borsec bottled mineral water

Borsec is one of the most prestigious and oldest mineral water brands in Romania, often referred to as the "Queen of Mineral Waters"—a title bestowed upon it by Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria in 1873. The industrial bottling of the water began in 1806 near the town of Borsec in the Carpathian Mountains, founded by Anton Zimmethausen and Valentin Gunther.

Today, the brand is owned by Romaqua Group Borsec, a private Romanian company established in 1998. The water continues to be sourced and bottled at its origin in Harghita County, Romania. As a 100% Romanian-owned enterprise, Romaqua Group has expanded the brand's reach globally, maintaining its status as a market leader in the natural mineral water segment within Romania and export markets.
