Whirlpool is a legacy American brand that pioneered home appliances over a century ago. Founded in 1911 in Michigan, it has grown into one of the world's leading major appliance manufacturers.
Starting in 2024, Whirlpool's European operations underwent a significant transition. Most of its business in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) was folded into a new entity called Beko Europe, which is a joint venture primarily owned by Arçelik. While Whirlpool Corporation remains the ultimate owner of the brand globally, the manufacturing and distribution in the European market are now managed through this partnership. Manufacturing is decentralized, with plants located in Poland, Italy, Turkey, and China depending on the specific model and target market.
