Anta Flu is a traditional Dutch throat lozenge with a history dating back to 1893, when it was first conceived in a confectionery factory in Rotterdam. The brand has remained a staple in the Netherlands, known for its focus on soothing the throat and refreshing the breath using natural ingredients like honey, lemon, and menthol.

Historically, the production of Anta Flu was handled by various Dutch sugar bakeries until it became part of the portfolio of Confiserie Napoleon (formerly Verduijn). Since 2003, the pastilles have been manufactured in Breskens, Zeeland Flanders, at a facility shared with Napoleon sweets. In recent years, the brand gained international attention for its commitment to sustainability; following a campaign by environmental activists, the brand's owner transitioned from plastic wrappers to biodegradable paper ones in 2020.

The brand is currently owned and managed by Pervasco, a Dutch confectionery trading organization based in Rotterdam. Pervasco oversees the development, marketing, and distribution of the brand, ensuring its legacy as an 'Oer-Hollands' (quintessentially Dutch) product continues.
