Pripps Blå is one of Sweden's most iconic and best-selling beer brands. It was originally established by the Pripps brewery in Gothenburg, founded by Johan Albrecht Pripp in 1828. For nearly two centuries, the brand has been a staple of Swedish culture, particularly known for its blue labeling and maritime imagery.

Today, the brand no longer operates as an independent Swedish company. After a series of mergers, including a notable one with Ringnes in Norway to form Pripps Ringnes, the brand was eventually acquired by the Danish brewing giant Carlsberg Group. While Pripps Blå is deeply rooted in Swedish history and primarily manufactured at Carlsberg’s large-scale brewery in Falkenberg, Sweden, its ultimate ownership sits in Copenhagen, Denmark.
