Moroccanoil is a global leader in argan oil-infused beauty products. Although the brand name suggests a Moroccan origin for its namesake ingredient, the company is actually an Israeli success story. It was inspired by a discovery made by co-founder Carmen Tal at a salon in Tel Aviv, where she experienced the transformative effects of argan oil on her damaged hair. This led her and her husband, Ofer Tal, to acquire the distribution rights and eventually the original Israeli company in 2008.

Today, Moroccanoil remains a privately held company. While it maintains major corporate offices in New York City and Los Angeles to manage its global marketing and distribution, its heart remains in Israel. The majority of its manufacturing takes place at a primary facility in northern Israel (Ma'alot-Tarshiha), though it has expanded production to include facilities in Canada and Italy to meet worldwide demand. The brand has successfully pioneered a new category in the beauty industry, turning a traditional Mediterranean ingredient into a luxury global standard.
