Marabou Mintkrokant chocolate

Marabou is a legendary Swedish chocolate brand, originally founded in 1916 by the Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst, who also founded the Freia brand. Its name is derived from the marabou stork, which was the symbol for the chocolate factory. The brand quickly became a staple in Swedish households, known for its iconic yellow packaging and smooth milk chocolate texture.

While Marabou is deeply rooted in Swedish culture and primarily manufactured at the factory in Upplands Väsby, Sweden, the brand has undergone several changes in ownership. Today, it is part of a global portfolio, being owned by Mondelēz International, an American multinational confectionery, food, and beverage company. Despite its international parentage, Marabou maintains its traditional recipes and continues to be marketed heavily in the Scandinavian regions.
