Somat Limpia Máquinas 5 en 1 Dishwasher Cleaner

Somat Dishwasher Cleaner: Origins and Overview

Somat is one of the most recognized dishwashing detergent and machine care brands across Europe. Introduced in Germany in 1962 by Henkel, it was among the first cleaning detergents specifically engineered for domestic dishwashers, evolving over decades to include specialized tablets, gels, additives, and intensive machine cleaners such as the 5-in-1 machine cleaner designed for use during normal wash cycles.

Ownership and Global Presence

The brand belongs to Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, a German multinational chemical and consumer goods company headquartered in Düsseldorf, Germany. Henkel operates globally across two main business units: Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands (which encompasses laundry, home care, and hair care products). In Spain, Somat products are distributed and managed by Henkel's local subsidiary, Henkel Ibérica S.A.

Manufacturing and Distribution

Henkel operates a vast manufacturing network across Europe, with major production plants in Germany, Poland, Austria, and Spain (including production sites such as Montornès del Vallès in Catalonia). Somat dishwasher cleaning formulations and packaging are manufactured across several of these European facilities depending on format and batch logistics.
