El Caserío is one of Spain's most iconic dairy brands, particularly famous for its processed cheese portions and sandwich slices. Founded in 1963 in Menorca by Pedro Montañés, the brand became a household name across Spain with its memorable slogan "De El Caserío me fío".

In the 1990s, the brand was acquired by Kraft Foods, which later became Mondelēz International. Production of El Caserío was eventually transferred from its historic Menorca facility to the specialized dairy plant in Hospital de Órbigo (León, Spain), where it continues to be manufactured today.
