Ferdinandův Pramen mineral water

Ferdinandův Pramen (Ferdinand’s Spring) is one of the most famous mineral water sources in the historic spa town of Mariánské Lázně (Marienbad), Czech Republic. The spring was named in honor of King Ferdinand I, who had the waters analyzed as early as 1528. The iconic neoclassical colonnade shown in the image was built in the early 19th century to house the spring, which is characterized by its high salt and iron content.

Today, the spring and its associated facilities are managed as part of the local spa infrastructure. While the water is consumed directly from the source for medicinal purposes, the 'Ferdinandův Pramen' brand is also bottled for distribution. The brand is deeply rooted in Bohemian spa culture and remains under Czech ownership, managed by the municipal spa organization which oversees the heritage and extraction of the town's natural resources.
