Zoégas Skånerost ground coffee

Zoégas is a legendary Swedish coffee brand, perhaps most famous for its 'Skånerost' dark roast. Founded in 1886 by Carlos and Maria Zoéga in Helsingborg, the brand has become a staple of Swedish coffee culture. The company is deeply rooted in the Skåne region of southern Sweden, where it still operates its primary roasting facility to this day.

Despite its strong Swedish identity, the brand was acquired by the Swiss multinational Nestlé in 1986. Today, Zoégas remains one of Nestlé's most successful premium coffee brands in the Nordic market, maintaining its traditional roasting profiles and specific blends like Skånerost, which was originally developed specifically to suit the calcium-rich water of southern Sweden.
