DFB-Pokal Trophy

The DFB-Pokal trophy is the prestigious award presented to the winners of the annual German knockout football cup competition. Designed in 1964 by Wilhelm Nauhaus, a Cologne-based artist and goldsmith, the trophy was created to replace the previous 'Tschammer-Pokal'. It is handcrafted from gold-plated silver and adorned with nephrite (green jade) and rocks crystals, symbolizing the height of German sporting excellence.

The trophy is intrinsically linked to the German Football Association (Deutscher Fußball-Bund or DFB), which serves as the ultimate owner and governing body for the competition. Based in Frankfurt, the DFB is one of the world's largest national sports associations.
