Lactantia is a celebrated Canadian heritage brand that has been a staple in households since it was founded in 1947 by a visionary Swiss immigrant in Victoriaville, Quebec. Initially known for innovating the way butter was packaged and preserved, the brand expanded into a wide variety of dairy products, including milk, cream, and single-serve creamers like the 10% dairy creamer shown here. The creamer is produced using Canadian milk and is processed in Lactalis Canada's domestic facilities.

Over the decades, ownership transitioned as the Canadian dairy landscape evolved. Originally part of Ault Foods and later Parmalat Canada, the brand is currently owned by the Lactalis Group, a French multinational company that is the largest dairy products group in the world. Despite its international ownership, Lactantia remains deeply rooted in Canadian agriculture, continuing to source and manufacture its products within Canada through its subsidiary, Lactalis Canada Inc., which is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.
