IPVanish VPN

IPVanish is a prominent virtual private network (VPN) provider originally established in 2012 by Mudadala Development Company through its subsidiary Highwinds Network Group based in Florida. The brand was built to offer high-speed encryption and secure internet browsing for users worldwide, distinguishing itself by owning and managing much of its own infrastructure.

Over the years, the ownership has transitioned several times. Highwinds was acquired by StackPath in 2017, and later, the IPVanish brand was sold to J2 Global (now Ziff Davis) as part of its NetProtect business unit. As of 2024 and moving forward into 2026, the brand remains under the ultimate ownership of Ziff Davis, a major American digital media and internet services company headquartered in New York. The service is primarily developed and hosted via servers globally, but the company operates under United States jurisdiction.
