Arc'teryx performance outdoor apparel and gear

Arc'teryx was founded in 1989 in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, originally starting under the name Rock Solid. The brand quickly became a global leader in the outdoor industry, known for its focus on high-performance technical outerwear, climbing gear, and high-quality craftsmanship. Its specialized 'ARC'One' facility in British Columbia still produces technical pieces, but the majority of its global production occurs across several countries in Asia and Europe.

While the brand holds onto its Canadian roots and design headquarters in North Vancouver, its ownership has transitioned through several major corporate entities. After being acquired by Salomon Group in 2001 (which was then part of Adidas), it was eventually purchased by the Finnish conglomerate Amer Sports in 2005. Today, Amer Sports is controlled by a consortium led by the Chinese sportswear giant Anta Sports, making it part of one of the largest athletic and outdoor conglomerates in the world.
