Rotary is a classic mid-priced watch brand with a rich history dating back to 1895 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Founded by Moise Dreyfuss, the company gained significant recognition for its Swiss horological excellence and became a primary supplier of watches to the British Army during World War II. Its iconic winged logo is a symbol of this heritage.

Historically, Rotary was a family-owned business for over a century, managed by successive generations of the Dreyfuss family. Under their leadership, the brand focused on creating 'affordable luxury,' bridging the gap between high-end Swiss craftsmanship and mainstream durability. The manufacturing of vintage pieces like the one shown was conducted primarily in Switzerland.

In 2014, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by Citychamp Watch & Jewellery Group Limited (formerly known as China Haidian Holdings). While the ultimate ownership now resides with a Hong Kong-based conglomerate, Rotary maintains its headquarters in the United Kingdom and continues to emphasize its Swiss design roots and heritage in its global marketing and product development.
