Cadbury chocolate and confectionery

Cadbury is a legendary British confectionery brand with a history dating back to 1824 when John Cadbury opened his first shop in Birmingham, England. Originally a purveyor of tea, coffee, and drinking chocolate, the business transformed under the leadership of his sons, Richard and George Cadbury. They famously established the Bournville 'factory in a garden' estate, which was a pioneer in social welfare for workers. The brand's most iconic product, Cadbury Dairy Milk, was launched in 1905 and remains one of the world's best-selling chocolate bars.

Today, Cadbury is the second-largest confectionery brand globally. While its spiritual home remains Bournville in the United Kingdom, production is truly global. Cadbury products are manufactured in over 15 countries, including major hubs in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Canada, India, and Poland. Interestingly, in the United States, Cadbury products are produced under license by The Hershey Company, though they remain part of the broader brand identity worldwide.

Since 2010, the brand has been owned by the American multinational snacking giant Mondelēz International (formerly part of Kraft Foods). Under Mondelēz, Cadbury continues to expand its portfolio, which includes everything from traditional chocolate blocks and boxed assortments like Roses to modern snacks like Cadbury Fingers and Marvellous Creations.
