Europa-Park Rust

Europa-Park, located in Rust, Germany, is one of the world's leading theme parks and the largest in the German-speaking world. Founded on July 12, 1975, by Franz Mack and his son Roland Mack, the park was initially conceived as a showcase for the amusement rides manufactured by their family company, MACK Rides. Since its inception, the park has remained a strictly family-owned business, passing down through generations of the Mack family.

Over the decades, Europa-Park has evolved from a small regional attraction into a massive resort complex featuring over 100 attractions, 18 themed areas (including the upcoming Monaco district in 2026), and multiple 4-star superior hotels. It is unique in the industry because the family not only operates the park but also manufactures many of the roller coasters and attractions themselves through MACK Rides in nearby Waldkirch. Today, the resort is managed by the 7th and 8th generations of the Mack family, including Roland, Jürgen, Thomas, and Michael Mack, and continues to be owned by the family-controlled MACK Group.
