In 2003, the brand was acquired by Deco Industrie, a cooperative company based in Bagnacavallo, Italy. This transition ensured the continuation of its workforce and tradition while modernizing the product line for sustainability. Today, Scala is recognized as a 'Historic Brand of National Interest' by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, maintaining its manufacturing operations primarily in Italy to serve both domestic and international markets.
