Lacoste Bomber Jacket

Lacoste is a historic French fashion brand founded in 1933 by the legendary tennis player René Lacoste and entrepreneur André Gillier. The brand is globally recognized for its green crocodile logo, a nickname given to René Lacoste for his tenacity on the tennis court. While originally famous for its revolutionary piqué cotton polo shirts, the brand has since expanded into a full lifestyle range including jackets, footwear, and accessories.

Today, Lacoste operates a global supply chain. While the company maintains its high-end craftsmanship center in Troyes, France—the historic cradle of the brand—the majority of its commercial production takes place in multiple countries including Peru, Morocco, Tunisia, Vietnam, Thailand, and China. This allows the brand to scale while maintaining specific quality standards for different product lines.

In 2012, the Swiss family-owned conglomerate Maus Frères SA acquired Lacoste in its entirety. The brand is now managed under the MF Brands Group, which also owns other premium labels like Gant and Aigle. Headquartered in Paris but owned by a Swiss entity, Lacoste continues to blend its French heritage with global corporate management.
