Rani is a prominent fruit-based beverage brand, most famous for its 'Rani Float' line which features real fruit pieces—a concept inspired by a mandarin drink the Aujan Industries chairman encountered in Japan. Originally launched in 1982 by Saudi Arabia's Aujan Industries, the brand has grown into a global household name, particularly across the Middle East, North Africa, and more recently, India.
In 2011, a landmark deal was struck where The Coca-Cola Company acquired a 50% stake in Aujan's beverage business. This partnership led to the creation of Rani Refreshments, which holds the global rights to the brand, and the Aujan Coca-Cola Beverages Company (ACCBC), which serves as the primary manufacturer and distributor. Today, the products are manufactured in several locations including Saudi Arabia (Dammam), the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Iran, and India, with distribution reaching over 70 countries worldwide. The brand remains a joint venture under the ultimate stewardship of both Aujan Group Holding and The Coca-Cola Company.
