The name 'TWSBI' is a clever linguistic construction derived from the Chinese phrase 'San Wen Tong,' which translates to the 'Hall of Three Cultures.' The initials 'TWS' are a reversal of those characters, and 'Bi' was added, which literally means 'writing instruments' in Chinese.
