Philips Batteries

Philips batteries are a prominent brand in the global portable energy market, offering a wide range of products including alkaline, lithium, and rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries. The brand originated in the Netherlands, evolving from the long-standing history of the Philips electronics conglomerate.

While the Philips brand itself is Dutch in origin, the battery division has undergone significant licensing and ownership changes. Currently, Philips batteries are manufactured and marketed under a global brand license by the Gibson Innovations group and more recently by its successors and partners. Manufacturing takes place across multiple countries, primarily in Asia (notably China), to leverage modern large-scale production facilities.
