While the brand has deep Swiss roots and continues to be manufactured in Switzerland by Wander AG (a subsidiary based in Neuenegg), international rights are split. Associated British Foods (ABF) acquired Wander AG in 2002 from Novartis, becoming the ultimate owner for the brand globally, except in the United States, where Nestlé handles the manufacturing and distribution.
