Acqua Amata is a premium Italian mineral water brand that originates from a deep, ancient source in the Alta Murgia region of Puglia, Italy. The source was discovered by Giovanni Antonio Mazzone in 1990 at a depth of nearly 650-700 meters while he was searching for water to irrigate his vineyards.

The brand is produced by Castello S.r.l., which operates a highly advanced bottling plant in Casamassima, Bari. Known for its low sodium content and richness in essential minerals like calcium and magnesium, the water undergoes extensive quality testing before distribution.

In 2021, the company joined the MGA Group, a holding company owned by the Avella and Mazzone families, ensuring it remains a family-led Italian enterprise. The brand has gained significant recognition for its sustainability efforts, utilizing renewable energy and recycled materials in its packaging.
