The brand is famous for its 'Marseille' soap fragrances and its name, which translates to 'Champagne Foam,' evoking a sense of luxury and bubbles that became part of Italian pop culture in the mid-20th century.

Today, the brand remains firmly in Italian hands. It is part of the Desa Group (Gruppo Desa), a major chemical and detergent corporation based in Brianza. While the brand was managed for years by Italsilva Commerciale S.r.l., as of June 2025, a strategic merger integrated Italsilva into Real Chimica S.r.l., another core entity within the Desa Group, to streamline operations and strengthen its commercial presence. Production continues to be centered in Italy across the group's domestic manufacturing facilities.
