Pipoli Aglianico del Vulture DOC

Pipoli is a prominent wine brand produced by the Vigneti del Vulture winery, located in the Basilicata region of Southern Italy. The wine is crafted specifically in the commune of Acerenza, situated in the province of Potenza. This area is characterized by the volcanic soils of Mount Vulture, an extinct volcano, which imparts a distinct mineral complexity to the Aglianico grapes grown there.

The brand was established as part of the Vigneti del Vulture estate, which was founded in 2009. The estate was built upon the foundations of a former local growers' association known as 'Basilium'. Today, the brand is part of the Fantini Group (formerly known as Farnese Vini), a major Italian wine company led by Valentino Sciotti. The Fantini Group is recognized for its focus on native Italian grape varieties and has grown into a global exporter, maintaining its headquarters in Ortona, Italy.
