Flying Tiger Copenhagen is a Danish retail chain founded in 1995 in Copenhagen, Denmark, by Lars Kristoffersen under the name Tiger. Initially, it was a small store selling budget-friendly products at a fixed price of 10 Danish kroner (hence the name “Tiger,” which sounds like “ten” in Danish pronunciation). Over time, the business expanded, adopting a broader product range while maintaining its affordability and fun, quirky design aesthetic. By the early 2000s, Tiger had begun expanding beyond Denmark, opening stores across Europe. In 2016, to establish a stronger international identity, the brand rebranded as Flying Tiger Copenhagen.
